WOODLAWN STORYVILLE
Sanders Designs Architects was commissioned to design a 3,200 sq ft addition to this facility to house “Storyville”. Storyville is an interactive learning center aimed for children from birth to 5 years of age. The concept is to give small children a special place to play and learn at the same time. In each area, be it the store, theatre or library, the reading subject material is appropriate for that area of interest. As an example, in the trolley car that replicates the original #35 Woodlawn trolley the books are about railroads while the children can jump up and down on the seats equipped with springs.
